This article lists 40 Inductive Reactance MCQs for engineering students. All the Inductive Reactance Questions & Answers given below include a hint and a link wherever possible to the relevant topic. This is helpful for users who are preparing for their exams, interviews, or professionals who would like to brush up on the fundamentals of Inductive Reactance.

In an inductive reactance, the reactance increases with increasing frequency, and the inductor looks like a short circuit at zero hertz whereas at very high frequencies the inductors look like an open circuit. In inductance, the value depends on construction whereas in inductive reactance the value depends on L and f.

The inductive reactance is the resistance that exists inside an inductor as a result of an induced EMF. It depends on its inductance and the frequency of an applied voltage, and it is measured in ohms and expressed by XL.

The inductors are widely used in inductive circuits and they have fewer applications than capacitors because they are heavier, larger, and more expensive. The circuit induces EMF in itself is self-inductance and the circuit induces EMF in the second circuit is a mutual inductance. The symbol of inductance is L and its unit is henry.

The inductors used in high-power applications, transformers, suppressing noise signals, sensors, filters, isolation, motors, and so on. The inductance of an inductor depends on the material of the core, the length of the coil, the number of turns in a coil, and the cross-section area of a coil.
